Book Review

 Quad

How do you feel about the story thus far? Would you recommend it to someone? Who would that be and why?

The book I'm reading is called Quad by C.G. Watson is a great book to read while you are in high school. It shows the different groups of people and how other people treat each other. I feel kinda bad but at the same time it is high school. The " Techies " in this novel are one of the worst treated in this school. The jock's since they do sports and are alot bigger and think they are alot better than all of the others. Well obviously other people will have their lives different, but just because you are different does not mean you have the right to bully or act better then them. Since you might feel like a better person then them does not mean you can judge them in person or out loud to embarrass them even more. i would definitely recommend this book to someone, especially someone who attends high school or is going into high school because its about high school. All about how it works and where not to go. What group you fit in so you are not left out. this book is really interesting and worth a day reading. It's powerful in tons of different ways. I strongly recommend this to any teen.

Changing History

Changing History

M.L.K also known as Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the most honored american presidents to live. The greatest achievement of M.L.K was undoubtedly as a leader of the american civil rights movement. He defended the Americans and African descent and fought for their rights. About 50 years ago he overturned Jim Crow's laws, which relegated African Americans and other races to the back of buses. Mostly all of the African American's and other minorities became slaves when they came to North America. King himself was a black person and thought that he needs to make a change. He put a stupid amount of money into helping these people out and fighting to overturn the rights. The guy made a huge impact on the United States and how the black people were treated. Everyone should be treated evenly was what he got through everyone's head. His birthday 3rd of January is now celebrated as Martin Luther King Jr. day.   Another one of Martin's great accomplishments was the institution of the southern christian leadership conference. An American civil right, aimed at supporting the philosophy of non-violence. As this conference got more popular more activists jumped into to help this great cause. King would protest with the African Americans for there rights. He would organize nightly marches involving lots of protesting. This man should be known for all the stuff he has accomplished and everyone should know of this great man and what he has done for us.
